Documents and Emails
Deltek PIM provides a document management system for managing your organization's important information in one place.
The PIM Document Management System (DMS) allows you to store, organize, manage, and share all of your organization's documents and emails. You can quickly find documents and emails using the text-based search, and filter your search results by one or more filter options.
There are two modes for managing documents and emails in the PIM Document Management System - Classic View and Smart View. You can choose which mode you want to work in. For the majority of users, it is recommended that you use the Smart View.
Classic View
The Classic DMS View allows you to publish and manage documents and document baskets. You can search for documents, and apply a number of filters to your search results. You can also share documents with colleagues and external people.
Smart View
The Smart View provides many of the same features as the Classic View in a more modern interface. This view is designed for most users that do not require access to the advanced features in the Classic View, such as issuing documents from the DMS, and using the Advanced Search Expression Builder to search for documents.
PIM Outlook Add-in
The PIM Outlook Add-in allows you to publish emails straight to the PIM DMS from Outlook. You can also search for published emails within Outlook, and synchronize your contacts.
